· TAFCO 'on-line'
TAFCO is taking a step into the future and having discussions with the Myrtleford based company Alpinelink to have a web page developed within the Alpine Shire Portal

The project is at the concept stage and may take a year or two to develop. Our aim is to provide an improved service to our members by increasing options in how you trade with TAFCO.

A user friendly web site which will enable our members to order stock on line and links to other internet sites of interest (chemical companies, major suppliers, DNRE etc), will be of interest to some of our members.

Although many of us are still coming to terms with a basic computer and some of it's abilities, many farmers are already very computer literate using the internet as a vital tool in their business. E-commerce is here to stay and who knows what opportunities lay ahead for TAFCO

TAFCO will continue with the 'good old country service' that our members appreciate, but hope to grasp some of the new technology available to businesses and ensure that TAFCO continues to improve as we move into the future.

· INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING - Coolroom
TAFCO has purchased a vacant piece of land - 231 Myrtle Street Myrtleford to house the coolroom and storage facility. (as reported to members in our June Newsletter)

The Alpine Shire has issued a Planning Permit and it is hoped that works should commence in September this year.
